We miss his laughter, the twinkle in his eyes, and his crazy but astonishing resourcefulness in our daily lives, but we are comforted in knowing that his legacy of artistic integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and openness to innovation lives on and reverberates around the world through the musicians and students of Javanese gamelan.
